Somatic Experiencing®

Somatic Experiencing® is a body-oriented approach to stress and trauma developed by Dr. Peter Levine. It is based on the understanding that overwhelming experiences can become “stuck” in the nervous system, and that healing occurs by gently increasing awareness of bodily sensations, restoring regulation, and supporting the body’s natural capacity to return to balance. My work is informed by this framework as a student of Somatic Experiencing.
